Pedestrian hit and killed by teen driver

One man is dead after a serious accident in Arizona, in which he was actually struck by two vehicles in quick succession.

The incident happened around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12. It occurred in east Tucson. The police department got a call saying there had been an accident resulting in serious injuries, and they responded quickly.

When they got to the scene, they said that the man had been attempting to cross the road. He was near a crosswalk, but he was probably 50 yards away. While crossing, he was first hit by a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe in the eastbound lanes. After that impact, a “white passenger vehicle” also hit him.

By the time the police got there, the pedestrian had already passed away from his injuries. The Tahoe and the other car had also fled the crash scene. However, the teen driver in the Tahoe then came back and cooperated with the police. The SUV only drove about a mile before coming back.

That said, the other driver is still at large, and police are attempting to locate them. The investigation is still continuing, but no one has been arrested at this time.

A case like this shows how complex an accident can be. Drivers know they should never leave the scene, but they sometimes do when they react in a panic. What does this mean about their involvement or the reason for the crash? Every case is different, naturally, but that’s why the police investigation is so important.

For the family members left behind after a deadly accident, it’s also important to know what legal rights they may have to seek compensation.
