The enhanced danger of a truck crash

| Sep 15, 2020 | Motor Vehicle Accidents |

Since thousands of so-called “fender benders” occur in America each year, and many of our readers in Arizona have probably been involved in such a collision, it is easy to forget that there are some accidents that occur that are much more serious. Truck crashes, for example, usually are not mere fender benders. In fact, in many cases, anyone in a passenger vehicle that has been hit by a large truck probably has a greater chance of suffering severe injuries.

When a serious motor vehicle accident occurs, the chances of walking away with only cuts or bruises diminish. Truck crashes in Arizona have been known to leave injured victims with broken bones, spine injuries, head injuries, brain injuries and, in the worst-case scenarios, these types of collisions can even result in fatalities. There is no doubt – being involved in a collision with a large truck is an enhanced danger on the roadways for drivers in Arizona.

Victim options

So, is there anything that victims who were injured in a truck crash can do to attempt to get back to their normal lives, or at least as much as possible? Well, in some cases, injured victims may be able to pursue a personal injury lawsuit against the truck driver and the owner of the trucking company, if the truck crash was caused by the truck driver’s negligence or recklessness. A positive result could lead to recovery of financial compensation. However, injured victims should be prepared for a tough fight, since trucking companies will do everything they can to push back against allegations that their truck driver, or issues with their truck, caused the collision in question.

At our law firm, we understand that Arizona residents who have been injured in a truck crash are looking for answers and options. We do our best to attempt to make sure that our clients have the information they need to make the right decisions.
