Speeding driver kills two in Phoenix

Even the best drivers can’t control the actions of other drivers they meet on the roads. Unfortunately, despite all the laws regarding driving, there are still many bad drivers on our roads. A recent accident that claimed the life of two people involved a driver speeding at more than 90 mph.

Tragic accident kills two

A tragic accident recently occurred in Phoenix. A Toyota Scion trying to turn left from Indian School Road onto 31st Avenue was hit by a Chrysler 300 traveling westbound at more than 78 mph. Just prior to the accident the Chrysler 300 was going more than 96 mph. The two people who were in the Scion were taken to the hospital in critical condition where they later died. The driver of the Chrysler 300 has been arrested and charged with two counts of manslaughter. He told investigators that he was in a rush to get home and thought he was only going 50 mph.

Personal injury attorneys protect legal rights

No one expects their loved one will be the victim of a tragic car crash. Unfortunately, these accidents occur to far too many people each year. The unexpected loss of a loved one can be a traumatic experience for family members, especially if the accident could have been prevented. Contacting an attorney during this emotional time can be an important part of the recovery process. They can visit the accident scene, interview witnesses and review the police report to get answers as to what happened and who is at fault. Compensation may be available for medical expenses, funeral expenses, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages.

A family should not have to go through the tragedy of losing their loved one alone. They have the legal right to hold the negligent party responsible for their actions.
