Drivers who travel at excessive speeds might struggle to respond to a multitude of scenarios. Those who approach sudden changes in traffic congestion while speeding may find it nearly impossible to react in time to avoid collision and incidents that take place under similar circumstances can have dire results. Up to three individuals suffered serious injuries during a recent car accident in Arizona that took place when a speeding driver rear-ended another vehicle.
3-car crash
Law enforcement agents advised that they responded to reports of a multiple-vehicle crash on a recent Friday morning. According to reports, the incident took place when a driver failed to slow down while approaching congestion at a traffic light. The vehicle proceeded to rear-end a second vehicle shortly thereafter and the impact prompted a chain reaction crash involving three vehicles in total.
Upon arriving at the scene, emergency responders reportedly worked to extract up to three people from within the second vehicle. All three were subsequently rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment, one of whom was airlifted to another facility for additional care. Authorities have indicated that speed appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash.
Serious injuries
It is no secret that a car accident involving a speeding driver can have cataclysmic results. Those who suffer serious or permanent harm due to such negligence may wish to exercise their rights to seek restitution in civil court, but they might need guidance in navigating the process. Fortunately, there are attorneys in Arizona who can examine the incident thoroughly, help a person better understand all his or her available legal avenues and assist in preparing to pursue the restitution deserved through the appropriate outlets.
