It is no secret that motor vehicle accidents can carry catastrophic ramifications that could leave a person with serious health concerns, or cause families to experience the untimely passing of a loved one. A recent car accident in Arizona has claimed the lives of two individuals and left a 29-year-old man facing numerous charges.

Head-on crash

Authorities say they responded to reports of a head-on collision on a recent Sunday morning. Initial investigations indicate that the crash occurred when the driver of a vehicle crossed into an interstate transition ramp from the wrong direction. His vehicle drove into the path of an oncoming car in the process and the two vehicles proceeded to crash head-on soon thereafter.

According to reports, both occupants within the second car suffered fatal harm and died at the scene of the accident. The driver who caused the crash was reportedly taken to a hospital for treatment of spinal cord injuries. Authorities advised that impairment and wrong-way driving are suspected as contributing factors in the incident, and they state that the man will be facing multiple charges pending completion of the investigation.
