Many avid motorcycle riders may be aware of the hazards that may await them on the open road and they may feel that taking a defensive approach to riding is essential to promoting safety. Unfortunately, sometimes the situations that arise may be beyond a rider’s control and the outcome of any type of motorcycle-related collision could carry severe or fatal repercussions. A 23-year-old man was killed during a recent motorcycle accident involving two other motor vehicles in Arizona.
Fatal motorcycle crash
Authorities reportedly responded to the scene of a fatal crash on a recent Wednesday evening. They advised that the incident began as a man was riding his motorcycle westbound when a motor vehicle suddenly pulled into the bike’s path. Authorities say the vehicle was turning out of a nearby driveway when it pulled in front of the motorcycle.
Authorities advised that the motorcycle proceeded to crash into the vehicle soon thereafter and was thrown off his bike in the process. Reports indicate that he was subsequently struck by a second motor vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the crash. While an investigation into the incident has been initiated, it remains unclear as to why the driver of the first motor vehicle failed to yield the right of way.
With fewer protective barriers to shield riders from harm, motorcycle accidents can prove dangerous under any situation. When the negligent actions of another driver cause a collision that leads to an untimely death, the surviving loved ones of the deceased may be left in search of guidance on the best course of action to take to seek accountability via the civil justice system. Following such a loss, a person in Arizona could benefit from retaining the services of an experienced attorney for assistance in pursuing the full amount of compensation to which he or she is entitled to receive via a wrongful death claim.
